film on the edge of Granite (http://tanbrown.org)

We just had Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops installed and (http://maplered.com) on the edge of the Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) is a film that will not come off. The guy that installed it has tried steel wool and (http://maplered.com) other things, but I still have the film. He said he has one more thing to try and (http://maplered.com) if it doesn't work he will replace the Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops. Why did the edges get a film and (http://maplered.com) will it ever come off?
